Our Holiday in the Grand Cayman B.W.I.

We went to Grand Cayman in January of 2000. Stayed there for two weeks, and then returned home. We stayed in a very nice Condo unit run by a Quebec couple named Alain and Marleine. The name of their establishment is the Turtle Nest Inn. I would strongly recommend it. But book early, they are filling up at least a year in advance right now. We visited some pretty good restaurants while we were there. The Cracked Conch, The Lighthouse, The Rum Point Wreck Bar, The Wharf. There were many others that were recommended to us, but we just ran out of time.

My Father and I did some diving at Ocean Frontiers, we visited some pretty amazing dive sites. The East End of grand Cayman is a little rougher and more remote so not too many people dive out there. Everything is still very pristine. I was a little disappointed that I didn't see any sharks or dolphins or turtles when I was down, but I did see some amazing fish and some amazing coral. The sites that were dived were Babylon, Snapper Hole, and Ironshore Gardens. Follow the links for some pictures.

From Rum Point we went out into the bay to Stingray City. That was pretty amazing too. I actually fed a Stingray and didn't get stung.
